   East out of Botolph Lane at No. 40 to No. 6 Love Lane (P.O. Directory). In Billingsgate Ward.
   First mention: O. and M. 1677.
   Also called "St. Botolph's Alley" (Strype, ed. 1720, I. ii. 173).
   Named after the church of St. Botolph Billingsgate (q.v.).
