   1) East out of Bishopsgate, at No.178, to New Street (P.O. Directory) In Bishopsgate Ward Without.
   First mention: O. and M. 1677.
   Other name: " Rose Court" (Rocque, 1746).
   In 1720 it appears to have been only partly built (Strype, ed. 1720, I. ii. 108).
   Named after the sign.
   2) In Fleet Lane (P.C. 1732-Boyle, 1799).
   Not named in the maps.
   3) See Rose Court5, Upper East Smithfield.
