(St.) Michael's Almshouses
   North and east of St. Michael Paternoster Royal Church (Horwood, 1799).
   Former name : "Whittington's Almshouses" (q.v.). (Strype, ed. 1720-Dodsley, 1761).
   The site was afterwards occupied by Mercers' School.
