- North out of Upper East Smithfield at No. 22 (Lockie, 1810, to O.S. 25 in. 1894-6).The name appears to be derived from a Maypole, which stood here in former days and is shown in Rocque's map of 1746, opposite the site of this court.Site occupied by Royal Mint Yard.
