Half Moon Alley, Bethlem
   South out of Bethlem to Petty France. In Bishopsgate Ward Without (Strype, 1720 and 1755).
   It is shown in O. and M. 1677, but not named.
   The site seems to have been rebuilt in the 18th century, when New Broad Street was formed.
   Named after the sign.
