Butler's Alley
   1) South out of Ropemakers Street, with a passage west to Grub Street and east to Moor Lane, in Cripplegate Ward Without (O. and M. 1677-O.S. 1880).
   The passage east to Moor Lane is not shown in O. and M. 1677-in Rocque it is called "Sweatings Passage," and in Horwood "Butlers Alley," and now "Butler Street" (q.v.). The northern end out of Ropemaker Street is now occupied partly by portions of Moor Lane and Sydney Avenue.
   2) Out of Butler Street, Milton Street (L.C.C. List, 1901 and 1912). In Cripplegate Ward Without.
